Sorrento, Positano, and Capri: A Dazzling Maritime Experience aboard the Ritz-Carlton's Evrima

 In the heart of an October day in 2023, I lived an enchanted day in Sorrento, having disembarked from the Ritz-Carlton's Evrima. A thrilling experience led by Francesco, our amiable captain, who guided us through the waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea. In this narrative, I'll take you aboard with me, unveiling every emotion experienced amid the waves.


First Contact with Sorrento:

Disembarking was a dive into the lively atmosphere of Sorrento's harbor. The city, welcoming and vibrant, greeted us, and our skipper, Francesco, emerged as a free-spirited character ready to guide us through an epic maritime day.



Sailing the Stylish Sorrentine Coast:

Onboard his elegant boat, Francesco took us on a journey along the Sorrentine coast. From the picturesque "Marina Grande di Sorrento" to the remains of a Roman villa by the sea, each place told millennium-old stories. Saracen towers and the villages of Puolo added a touch of mystery and history to this captivating cruise.


The Vertigo of Positano:

The Amalfi Coast welcomed us with its dizzying cliffs, and Positano stood before us like a living painting. Colorful houses clung to the mountainside, alleys winding like charming labyrinths. A brief stop allowed us to immerse ourselves in Positano's soul, amidst artisan shops and the scent of sea air.


Gastronomy and Relaxation in Nerano:

Francesco led us to Nerano, a fishing village with a seaside restaurant recommended by a true sea lover. Lunch, with freshly caught fish from local fishermen, was a symphony of flavors. Later, a tranquil bay welcomed us for a refreshing swim as the sun caressed the sea.


Capri: An Exclusive Spectacle from the Boat:

The tour reached its pinnacle with our arrival in Capri. From the White Grotto to the majesty of the Faraglioni, every moment was an explosion of colors and beauty. The Blue Grotto gifted us a reflection of magical light, and the Punta Carena Lighthouse bid us farewell like a beacon guiding sailors.


Conclusions:

The return to the ship sealed this epic maritime odyssey. The sunset accompanied our return, leaving us with the memory of a day vibrant with emotions, unforgettable views, and flavors.
